Communication and visits

The Sheriff directs phone and video users to ICSolutions and lists support at 1-888-506-8407. Its jail page publishes home video visits at $0.25 per minute, voicemail at $0.25 and tablet messages or photos through GettingOut at $0.25 per message. Confirm the current rate and eligible service for the person’s facility before funding an account.

For video scheduling, use the facility instructions inside the official linked service. The separate visitation page says visitation details are not provided by phone or email, and still links an older COVID update. No dependable universal current onsite visiting schedule was verified. Check the official visit page and scheduling service before travel.

Fulton says ordinary calls, messages and visits may be monitored or recorded, with an exception for registered attorneys. Do not assume a family account is private legal communication. The jail also publishes dress restrictions and prohibits electronic devices inside; read the current entry rules before attending.

Inmate account deposits are separate

The Sheriff’s jail page lists SmartDeposit, a lobby kiosk, a phone service and a postal money order route for inmate account funds. It publishes a $5 minimum, $200 maximum deposit, $200 weekly transaction total per inmate or cardholder and at most five transactions per week. Confirm current limits and the correct SO number before sending funds.

The listed website fee starts at $2.95. The phone route is 1-866-394-0490 with fees starting at $4. The kiosk description says cash only with a $4 fee, no $1 bills and no change, while another line broadly mentions cards; the same page marks card use temporarily unavailable. Treat kiosk card availability as unconfirmed.

For the published postal route, use a US Postal Money Order payable to the inmate, include the cell location and SO number and mark the envelope “INMATE ACCOUNTING.” The page lists Fulton County Jail, 901 Rice Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30318. Confirm the destination if the person is housed elsewhere. Funding this account does not prove a bond was paid or accepted.

Use the office for the actual task

County charge and bond information is at 404-613-2002 or 404-662-3516; the Main Jail front desk is open 24 hours every day at 901 Rice Street NW. The jail’s general number is 404-613-2000. Bonding Administration, 404-612-5136, handles county cash refund and property bond questions at the Justice Center Tower. Its task specific public hours were not verified.

For Atlanta City Detention Center, Atlanta Corrections lists 404-865-8001 and 404-865-8010 at 254 Peachtree Street SW. Ask which agency controls the person’s release. For return of belongings held at the county jail, the inmate must sign a property release naming the recipient, who needs government photo ID. Fulton describes approximately 48 hours for that property request; this is not a physical release estimate.

If a child is in juvenile detention

Use Fulton County Juvenile Court’s Intake Unit for juvenile custody and release questions instead of assuming the adult bond process applies. The Clerk oversees Intake and lists 404-613-4663. Intake operates 24 hours a day, including holidays. Ask for the current intake contact, the child’s location, the responsible case worker or judge and the next custody decision.

The Juvenile Justice Center is at 395 Pryor Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30312. General courthouse hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the public courthouse schedule is different from Intake’s continuous operation. The general contact is 404-612-4402. The public pages do not provide a universal juvenile cash bond procedure. Obtain directions from Intake and the child’s attorney before sending money or going to an adult jail.

Ordinary mail, legal mail and packages

Fulton’s jail page says personal letters, pictures and drawings are digitized for the inmate’s tablet. The published personal mail format includes the exact facility name, the inmate’s name and identifier, and P.O. Box 247, Phoenix, MD 21131. The page lists Fulton County Jail, Fulton Marietta Annex and Fulton Union City Jail as separate facility labels. Confirm the current label for the person’s actual location.

Legal mail and financial instruments should still go to the facility under its separate instructions, not to the personal mail scanning address. For inmate account funds, the more specific accounting instructions name US Postal Money Orders. Do not read the general mail paragraph as permission to send any kind of check.

No complete current prohibited item list or approved care package ordering route was verified in the reviewed official pages. Do not mail food, medication, cash or a package on the assumption it will be accepted. Ask the facility for the approved route and restrictions first.
